This little bird box entails a lot of techniques! Carved from a solid block of clay (kurinuki) it is painted with black slip and scraped away to reveal a bird (scraffito). The additions of handles and high temperature wire gives it a quirky feel, and additional screen printed imagery and text adds to the individuality of the piece. No two are the same!
